Peppermint essential oil has traditionally been used as an energizing oil, as a digestive aid and to alleviate fainting, shock, colds, flu and fever. Peppermint oil is one of our favorite oils for upset stomach (rub a carrier oil (any healthy kitchen oil) lightly on the stomach, then follow with 2 or 3 drops of peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is also great for headaches when you put a drop on fingertips, and massage into the base of the neck or temples (not too close to eyes, because the vapors may make your eyes water.)
