These lessons are designed for a child who is ready to begin a formal introduction to the language arts. Unlike most language arts “programs” that are full of unnecessary busywork and “twaddle”, this volume will introduce an elementary level child to the skills he needs to begin learning in an enjoyable, varied way...each day a little different, building on what was previously learned. I hesitate to place a “grade level” on this volume, as it is so important to wait until the child is ready to learn, and yet also important to sometimes “spur” a child on, as any parent homeschooling using the techniques of Charlotte Mason knows.
